but besides that we are moving from Micropay to Bullet to run the payroll I ran a complete parallel payroll for last year for all 4 employees for 2015 and the net pay is continually out by €6 I rang the ROS today and got them to run a few figures for me and the error seems to be on Bullet side I just cannot work out where I have gone wrong.
Oh my name is Suzie I run September Song - I do quite a bit of work with a guy called John Chambers and he mentioned that one of you sailed on White Mischief with Shiny Tim etc.
Ah Suzie how are you, I hope all is well. I miss the sailing. Cool - I'll just pass you over to John he works on the payroll side of the product. I'll keep an eye on the call here. Did you import the P2C file for the employees - it's the best way to set-up employees in Bullet? Pete
why have you given up sailing? The good SS is in for an overhaul this spring up in MGM she will be ready by May - we are buying new sails etc. - If you fancy joining up we always love big chatters on board - Have to be honest there are many times when I have been told by the crew to relax they just need to finnish this story
Ha, well I blamed Patricia, making me laugh all the time. Just didn't have the time with Building Bullet. I'd planned to be sailing a 140ft yacht at this stage grin Maybe next year... that's what I keep on saying. Well saying it was a mistake is saying the customer is wrong. Payroll is complex and it aggregates taxes, has cut off etc. So it can be hard to know when you've made a mistake. The P2C kills all off that it's straight from ROS and never wrong.
Hi Suzie - I did receive it, thanks. Do you know which 4 employees are the ones Revenue have said is out by €6 and did they happen to say if it was PAYE, PRSI or USC that they thought was wrong?
Hi John no that was me - I was running a shadow/parrallel payroll for 2015 on Bullet HQ and the figures between Micropay and this were out by about €6 each time - I can put them up on a spreadsheet and send them over to you to look at - In the meantime can I import the 2016 PCP file and run the payroll for this month? the boss wants it done by tmw? every time I try to upload the 2016 PCP file I keep getting the cat in the server message thanks
I'm taking a look at what the problem with the P2C file might be right now. I'll keep you updated. On the spreadsheet - sure, send it over - it will help me to spot what might be causing the discrepancies.
On the P2C file - it looks invalid, and not one that came directly from revenue. My best guess is that someone opened the original file in excel, made some changes and saved the file, but saving the file has made changes that makes it invalid. Are you able to re-download the P2C file from ROS for 2016?
Just incase you missed what I said above: "On the P2C file - it looks invalid, and not one that came directly from revenue. On the wage discrepencies for 2015 - I can see that it's down to USC. The USC tax rates for each of the employees looks wrong - it is using this year's USC rates rather than 2015. I assume you entered the tax details for 2015 manually rather than using a P2C file? If you edit each of the employees, click on the lock icon beside the tax details for 2015, then click advanced, you'll see that all have the rates 1%, 3%, 5.5%, and 8% which are this years rates. These should probably be 1.5%, 3.5%, 7% and 8%, since those were the standard rates for 2015. I tried this on our test system, and using these values you get the same net pay from Bullet as you do from MicroPay.
yes I emailed it over to you this morning - I just tried to up load it myself and got an error message saying the tax numbers to not match up & to check settings so I am going to do that now thanks
Hi Suzie - I just had a look at the file there - it still doesn't look like a P2C file that would come directly from ROS - there's strange characters in the file that are causing it to not be read properly. What browser did you use to download the file from ROS? Did you open the file in Excel and resave it by any chance?
Cool - I'll just pass you over to John he works on the payroll side of the product. I'll keep an eye on the call here.

Can you send the P2C file to john@bullethq.com and we can investigate further.
John.
