Hi again, Apologies in prep from our audit we’ve encountered a few issues. Some of the pay guidance (net & gross) for Eugene Mc Donough in August & September appear to have changed from the payslips originally generated. Can you look into this issue? This is causing problems in our accounts and we are also having issues with Revenue and think this may be part of the problem.

Hi Rosa,
The values would only have changed if you either edit those wages, or you edited a wage earlier than August/September.  Warnings always appear on wage screens when you are making edits that will potentially change other payslips and.  Can you send the the original payslips that you are seeing a difference in, and if you have modified any previous wages for Eugene?
Thanks,
John.

  1. Hi John,
Find 2 of the 3 payslips attached. We are still looking for the 3rd payslip - is there anywhere within bullet that we can access the emails sent with payslips attached? The only thing that I can think that may have been edited was in issuing the P45 - could this have possibly be the problem?
    Best wishes,
    Rosa

If you ticked the "Copy Me" checkbox when sending the payslips, then you'd have a copy of the originals that are sent.
Generating the P45 shouldn't cause any previous wages to change. We'll investigate and let you know.
  3. Great - my colleague who should have sent the payslips cannot find it.
If there is any other possible way to retrieve this please let me know.

    Hi Rosa,
It appears that Eugene was setup as being a monthly paid employee. The august 28th and September 4th Payslips were generated while Eugene was recorded as being paid monthly. Shortly after the 4th September, someone changed Eugene to a weekly paid employee and re-recorded those 2 wages. That's why those wages were changed.

  5. Hi John,
What can we do to correct these errors and to get a correct export of what we paid out?
    Best wishes,
    Rosa

    Hi Rosa,
There's no way to revert back to what your accounts were after someone with access to your account intentionally changes them. There would have been a warnings about the implications of changing a wage that has already been paid.
It looks like the change was made, because Eugene was incorrectly recorded as being paid monthly, so the change to make him weekly would change the amount of tax needed to be paid, but it's also what revenue would have expected Eugene to have paid. The P30 under the taxes section should say what you paid to revenue when you filed the return.
    John.
