Hi guys, quick one. We are sending out statements to clients at the moment and when we choose ‘copy me’ the emails are not arriving at our Email address. I have tested sending emails to the account outside of Bullet and it seems to be working fine. Any ideas? This was working fine up to last month.

  1. Great, thank you.

So it's sending for me. I logged into your account and sent the following to my account. You can see the video here.
    Invoice
    Overdue Account Statement
    Account Statement
Is it only statements to yourself you're not getting?
  3. Hi Peter. Yes, our clients are receiving the invoices and statements and we are selecting the 'copy me' option to receive a copy in our accounts email. We are not getting this email though.

That sounds like a local mail issue. Let me test the copy me function.
  5. Ok thanks. That's what I thought first but when a mail is sent from outside of Bullet we are receiving it.

Have you customised your email setting in Bullet?
  7. I don't think so. The email account is the one we log on with. We were receiving emails no problem until recently and to my knowledge, we have not made any amendments.
  8. Peter Connor December 19, 2015
So you're getting problems getting normal emails in?
  9. Yes, we are not receiving any emails from Bullet (i.e. where we select 'copy me'). The emails are going out to the selected recipient (i.e. the client) but we are not getting the copy. Does that make sense?

Ok so I just did this test and it's instant for me. Make sure you check your spam filters. I'll send you a video now.

How come you send yourself a copy. If it's sent you'll see it in the invoice status and you'll also see the read receipt in the Invoice Comments when you open it.

Here is that video. 100% of the time we have an issue with anything being sent from Bullet it's on the client's mail.
We do about 90k a month invoices, estimates etc. If the system failed it would fail for everyone and the world would explode. :(
  13. Yes, thanks Peter. Is there anywhere on Bullet that I can check that the email is set up correctly? I don't doubt that it works from Bullet but we are not receiving the emails any longer. We use them as a record of sending to the client. I didn't realize we could see that in the comments - that is useful, thanks.

So there are a couple of things.
You can send statements, invoices, etc to clients - so Bullet is working outside of your network.
    Are you getting normal emails
    Are you getting invoices
Is it your email do other in house emails work.
    Test that.
  15. Yes. We are receiving normal emails no problem to accounts@thedublincookieco.com. Received your first test email but not the invoice one. Other in house emails are working as far as I am aware. There are no blocked email addresses or filters on the email account either

Everything is working for me on my account. Everything is working for me on your account. The only issue is copy in your network.
I'm not sure what else I can test. Why don't you do the following.
Copy Me, remove the main address
Open that invoice and view "comments', and see if a sent is there you should get one.
    Pete
  17. Ok thanks. I tried that. It says it is sent in the comments but hasn't arrived. I've asked our IT guy to look at it as well. He is not sure what it could be but we will keep an eye on it. At least the emails are going to clients which is the most important thing.

Cool. If it fails on our side it fails big.
