Hi
Sorry about the delay.
Sure you can use Bullet to send invoices, you can also get paid online and get read receipts showing when someone has opened your invoice.

Hey Pete. So my issue that I'm having is that I have to apply my insurance charge and my management fee to specific lines only, and the apply VAT to all. Is there a way of setting this up?
  2. Peter Connor October 7, 2016
Ah ok, so let me have a look again at the invoice for you.
  3. angelaast October 7, 2016
    Thanks Pete

Give me about 10 minutes and I'll create the invoice for you and send you a copy. Shouldn't be an issue.

So in short, I have to apply Insurance to any live days. The management fee is applied to All before VAT and then Vat is applied to ALL. Thanks Catch up shortly

I can't actually edit the Invoice now. Has something changed?
  9. angelaast October 7, 2016
Apologies, I had logged in twice
  10. angelaast October 7, 2016
I think I can edit it now
  11. Peter Connor October 7, 2016
Sure, I sent you an invoice from my test account.
The invoice is previewed on the right - so that's what the client sees and you can also see totals.

Sorry Pete, if I sound thick, but I can't work out what you inputted into line 4 and 5?
  13. angelaast October 7, 2016
If I need a percentage of 2.25% for Insurance did you manually enter 50.49?
  14. angelaast October 7, 2016
Once I get this set up I'm sure I'll be fine with it
  15. Peter Connor October 7, 2016
    Yep, it's manual
  16. Peter Connor October 7, 2016
Any of the % I just worked out.
  17. Peter Connor October 7, 2016
We tried allowing people use % etc, but it created more problems sadly.
  18. angelaast October 7, 2016
Ok so you manually added £1944+£300 and then multiplied by 2.25%?
  19. Peter Connor October 7, 2016
Hang on a sec and I'll show you. Give me 10 minutes.
    Pete
  20. angelaast October 7, 2016
    Sorry for the hassle
  21. Peter Connor October 7, 2016
This isn't hassle, that's why we have instant chat. We don't want people to wade through hours of help files. It's better on chat, so if helping people was hassle we wouldn't have this.

  22. Peter Connor October 7, 2016
I'm just working on it now.
  23. angelaast October 7, 2016
Ok cheers, I'm also having a play and scrolling up and down to manually add my lines and then multiplying by my Set Fees. Maybe you do it differently?

Just a question, on your numbers
So your management fee at 10% is where is 224.40 coming from, what numbers is it made up from?

#answer-4178
  1. angelaast October 7, 2016
    I can't charge Man Fee on Disbursements so its £1944+£300 x £10%=224.40
  2. Peter Connor October 7, 2016
Ah, ok. I'll create it nowski. So those calcs will have to be created manually, to built an invoice to manage that logic would be hard to use.
I'll create this for you now.
  3. angelaast October 7, 2016
I think I've cracked it my end Pete!
  4. angelaast October 7, 2016
Although I have to manually add, your layout still makes it quicker for me to do!
  5. Peter Connor October 7, 2016
Cool - We do all the vat calc's and so on and manage all the deliveries etc.
You can also copy invoices and edit them or create saved line items. Not to mention read receipts etc.
    Thanks Pete
