Well we don’t create a form like a traditional form that you can read. We create a digital form that the ROS computer can read.

  1. I also noticed my VAT number should have IE in front of it. I tried to change the system wouldn't save it for me.
  2. oh, ok, so can I look at it before filing?
  3. or send it to the accountant to check after me?

Ok so you can review what’s in the VAT return by clicking Tax > The VAT return you want to look at.
You’ll get a screen like this, if you click the grey box in the centre it will expand with all the items (bills/invoices) for that tax period.

Did your VAT return get rejected from ROS? What error did you get?
  2. Let me give it a go:) I'll get back to you in a minute

Ah, is this your first return?
  4. yes, it is, I would have been lost without bullet but still it took my life out of me to get it sorted. Also I realised, because quite a few shops did not pay on time, I actually could have left it until later in 2016... bad start to the year.

If I was to take a picture of you doing your vat return would it look like that

How come it was a problem getting it sorted. We actually take it from your Bills and Invoices? Is there something we could do better?
  7. no, no, it was me, leaving messy accounts till last minute.
  8. i have a few complicated ones, mainly different channels of online sales, where I have to create invoces in bullet based on data from, paypal, sum up, stripe, etsy payment system in direct checkout. because i sell worldwide, some sales i have to pay VAT on while others I don't.
  9. I have to calculate it all manually and then deduct fees, refunds etc.
  10. I have to find a system for it, that's all/

We'll we'll probably have that built in the summer. We've rebuild our bank reconciliation engine as you know with platforms they take a fee. That messes up the invoice because you're not invoicing 100 now you're invoicing 100 minus fees.
So we're working on that, it's a big job though probably a couple of months work.

If you're happy with the numbers of your vat return and you entered them into Bullet then the VAT return is correct. So just submit - if there is an issue ROS will tell you.

If that happens let me know what the error was.

Just so you know ROS aren't some scary monster. Once your trying to pay tax their happy.
  14. I oh, I know, I will get my head around it eventually. I'm just having a bit of a moan, I was up doing it unlit 1 am last night:) Looking forward to the new features. It's great and super helpful anyway. Thank you and happy new year!
