For instance, I uploaded a short statement and it could not recognize the amounts of what they represeanted. The ‘fix’ for it, didn’t really seem to work either, even though I followed the steps. It suggested that I was transferring from my company to a ‘current account’ but I don ot know what that current account is….

It links with US bank accounts. Europe isn't setup for syncing.
The scrapping software Xero and Wave use isn't secure. So we avoided using it.
It's just a once a month activity. But the company Plaid.com (who do the syncing) is adding a bank a week. So if your with a main bank it should be happening soon.

How come you're not on Wave. I thought all Canadians use Wave?.
I simply copied that your statement into the sample doc and imported it. All worked good.
