Hi, Sorry to be on to you again but I need some help with something. Yesterday someone from our co. was talking to Peter about generating a P45 – which we managed to do. The file type ends with ‘.p45’ even though its called Adobe Acrobat. I can’t manage to open the file. Is there something I’m doing wrong? – Danielle

Hi Danielle,
The .p45 file should be uploaded to ROS.ie.  Once revenue have processed it, they will send you (or your ROS administrator) and email and you can download the official PDF of the P45 that you can then print out and give to your employee.

    Hi Peter, thanks.
I can see this on Revenue now, but I haven't received an email and the file type on Revenue is a webpage. Any idea how I would access a pdf of this?

In ROS, go to the "Revenue Record" tab, select "Document Search" on the left-hand menu, select "P45 (1)s" from the tax type dropdown and the year the P45 is for. It should show you a list of employees that you have uploaded P45s for. Click on the employees name and a popup webpage will open (you may need to allow popups to be displayed from ros.ie on your browser). This will open a web view of the P45. You can either click on the print button, or the download button (the down arrow on the top-right menu) to get it as a PDF.
