hi there, can you help me add bank details to invoices

Sure. 

Click on Bank A/c’s on the bottom left. 
Add your bank account, or click on the default one and click edit and fill in your details. 
When you’re in edit mode you’ll see a drop  that says “add to invoices’. 
That’s it.

    I've done that but the details don't seem to appear on the invoices

    Ok, click on Invoice / Invoice Settings / Edit (on the template you want to change).
    At the bottom you'll see a drop down to pick a bank account.
