I’m having a problem importing a statement this is the error I’m getting but the file has the headings as far as I can see. I’ve deleted them and typed them again but no luck I’m afraid. I’ve attached the file I’m importing too.

When you import the xls files sometimes they capture data you can’t see. So, try and delete all the column

  1. I tried that and copying just the few lines that I have into another excel file and saved it as CSV still no luck

    Hi Emma,
    Ok so you weren't putting the data into the different columns. If yo download the example file (you'll see it in that screenshot) you'll see what I mean.
    Here a video of me fixing it all for you.
    I've also attached a working example of that file.

  6. That's weird because when I look at the sample everything is in the one column which I thought was strange and the file I sent you on my screen everything is in separate columns. Could we share screen?
  7. Actually just did a bit of goggling I think this might be a windows 10 issue I'm going to go back to 8.1 and see if that fixes it.

    Yep, we'll be redesigning the the bank rec to make it easier - to many screens at the moment.
