ive got a suggestion. i use WHMCS, which is a clunky system, but one feature that i use all the time is a global search. in particular its handy when i fire up WHMCS just to record an invoice payment, i can search by anything, but typically i use invoice number or a partial customer name. the same would be great for bullet, so i dont need to click through the menus

That’s sort of it, but the WHMCS search is actually better, as it lets you search everything from one place without any clicks at all.
I did a screencast for you. The sound didn’t come out right but you can see the global search bar in upper right that lets you search across all categories from anyplace on the site
