Just explain that again. You can create an Addition/Deduction you like.

    so when you look at the screen for Pay wages there is date, Monthly Wage, pension contributions, health insurance , expenses, etc below this there is a screen that says "additions" and it says Addition type - when I click on the drop down menu nothing appears here how can I alter amend this?

    Payroll Deductions on the left nav.

    That's where you add your deductions and additions.

    it is not a deduction it is an addition- you see the staff teach a certain number of classes per week which they get paid one rate for and then they run parties and they get paid another rate for these and these vary on a weekly basis
