    I had entered in expenses for Sept and Oct but as soon as I got to Nov it kept giving me that error and wouldn't let me add them.

    I created a bill for 19 November 2015 on your account, and I was able to get to the review screen without error (I did not save the bill, don't worry!), Perhaps you could upload a screenshot of the entire screen to give us a better idea of what's happening when you receive the error?

    Actually it happens when I press SAVE. It's happened again. However I've entered in mileage as far back as September and that was fine.

    Sorry it's when I get to the save part when it gives me that error. Now I had no problems entering in expenses for 2016 but couldn't put 2015 in.
    I've not done any VAT returns done for this business but would like to do so for Sept 2015 to Mar 2016 before the end of this month.

    Hi Siobhan,
    It looks like you changed the VAT payment frequency for 2015. Can you confirm how often you are supposed to pay VAT, and what date did this change come into effect?

    I may have made a mistake in changing it. I've never done a VAT return before so new to all this.
    Bascially the company was set up for VAT on the 31st December 2015 however there were expenses laid out before that date that need to be submitted.
    I think I've got to file them every 3 months (as I've just received a letter in March letting me know to file them now, but not 100% sure. Can't speak to anyone in the Revenue today as they're too busy!
    Is there any way of reversing what I've done to my account which will enable me to file those expenses which came in last year?

    So was the company not registered for VAT in 2015?

    It was registered on the 31st Dec.
