Why Is Subsistence Showing Up As Unpaid Employee Expenses Account With Your Business Accounting Online?

Q: Why Is Subsistence Showing Up As Unpaid Employee Expenses Account With Your Business Accounting Online?

In the money out column I added a subsistence payment for 5th Feb, but it is showing up in the Balance sheet and trial balance as an unpaid employee expense even though its status is Paid.
Thanks

Richie

    Hi Richard,

Did you pay it view payroll?

    Cheers

The amount is listed in the employees expenses statement in Payroll, but I'm not seeing a way to mark it as paid.

    Am I missing something?

Hi Richie,
Recording subsistence and mileage in Bullet is essentially saying: the company now owes the employee €X in mileage and subsistence – that’s why it shows up in unpaid expenses.  If you want to say that expenses have been paid to an employee, you do that through wages (you can enter a wage with 0 gross wage and just fill in expenses if you are only paying owed expenses).

    John,

    Many thanks for the follow-up.

I will get to that now.
