Guys, everything going great. Just wondering is there a way that electronic invoices can automatically be marked as paid if customer settles up via stripe or paypal?

Hi,

That’s good. If the person pays via Stripe/Paypal the invoice should automatically mark itself as paid. We take that data and do all kinds of stuff in the bankend – like create a paid bill for any fees, calculate your fx gains etc
Is the invoice not marking itself as paid?

  1. Hey Peter,
We've created three electronic recurring invoices. And two were paid, but it wasn't reflected on the invoice. We had to manually mark them as changed.
Is there a setting we need to tweak?

    Hi C,
So with these recurring invoices are people clicking on each invoice (Jan, Feb etc) and entering their stripe details or are you trying to replicate a SaaS model?

  3. Mmm. Just sending them individual invoices each month. It's a workaround for people who can't enter their card detail son our website for some reason...
  4. PS: Our website sells online training in a saas-like model

Ok, so there is a difference in the two.
SaaS Billing is you entering your CC once and the system bills that card periodically. That would be a billing system.
Recurring invoicing means you create a template invoice rules about when it's to be sent. Bullet sends them that invoice on the date picked. Every invoice is treated as a separate invoice so they'll need to enter their stripe/paypal details again. When they do that, the invoice gets marked as paid.
    Hope that makes sense.
  6. Yes. We went with the second option as a workaround to our website saas model. But the invoice wasn't marked as paid when they settled up :(

Ok, so just so I get this right. They're opening up that invoice and entering their details the money is hitting stripe but the invoice isn't automatically getting marked as paid?

  8. Yes. Exactly. We can see the payment in Stripe. But the invoice status didn't change to paid.

Ok, I'll get the dev's to have a look at this for you. They're off at the moment (quite time for accounts) so it will be Sunday or early next week if that's ok.
  10. Thanks Peter. No rush, I was just curious - and assumed it should be auto marking invoices.
Have a good Christmas if I dont talk to you before the
