Hi Sean,
Just let me know did you setup the employees manually or set them up using the P2C file?

  1. We set them up manually but when I check between the details between the 3 employees they are all identical so not sure why the payments would be calculated as different figures? I’m currently going in, deleting the old wage payments, editing and updating the net amount to be what they should be and then marking them as paid again. Would we be better off uploading the P2C files?

    Hi Sean,
We can't support manual employee creation. The system to 100% bullet proof on creating employees from ROS's P2C file, we're not sure why it's not used. We still allow it for accountants to manipulate accounts.
Every issue we've investigated regarding wages and employees manually done has been human error. It takes a large volume of time to investiate and we're keen to keep the price of payroll as keen as possible.
Payroll is complex mainly because of cut off points, everyone has different cut of points. That spikes salaries, and drops them for no apparent 'obvious', reason.
Always always use the P2C file it's 100% right and if it's wrong it's because revenue have dilivered the wrong info. In that case it's still right! It's takes a second to download it and a second to upload it, boom everything is setup 100% correct.
Ask your accountant to look at the issue please don't manually edit items. Once resolved just import the P2C file and you can forget about it then.
    Hope that helps Sean.

    Pete
  3. Use P2C, got it ;) Thanks for the help Pete.
