Hi There, I am having a problem importing from Ulster Bank. First it did not like the headers so I removed them all and tried again Now says there are errors in the file. Please advise?

Go to the bank import page. Click other from the drop down. You’ll see a link to a xls. Download that and copy your bank data into it. Don’t remove the headers.

    Oh god, this really is a pain. All the in/out are in the same column. I have manually separated them. the Money out all has minus signs. Will the negative values cause a problem if I leave them?

    Indeed it is, welcome to Irish banks.
    Just remember in excel you can record repetitive tasks in excel.
    I'm pretty sure you need to delete them, we use the columns to split them out. Let me check.

    Hi, Yep delete the - minus figure. Remember you can use Find and Replace to do this for that column.

    No problem. In the US we've plugged into a service that automatically pulls all your banks updates.
    Today I contacted AIB Biz to get a new Credit Card. After talking for 15 minutes they then pointed me to a form to download, print and post. Ha.
