    Hi Suzanne. Select the cells you want to change in Excel and select Format from the menu. Select currency and it should do what you want.

    When I export the accounts payable for example to excel, it won't recognise the figures as numbers and I can't change the format. I actually have to type the figures manually. It's fine on some exports but not that one or the P&L.

    If I look at what the spreadsheet is doing to the boxes you'll see it's currency. If you want to changes this select the cells and then click currency and pick from the drop down.

    Yes, but if you try to sum the numbers you will get zero as it is not recognising the figures

    Hi Suzanne,
    I see the issue, we'll have a look at that for you. Here is what you can do as a fix. We'll have a look at the export.
    Select all the cells.
    Click the <i> error
    Click "convert to number".

    Then you'll be able to do 'sum'.
