Q: How Do I Add New Expense Category In Bullets Accounting Online Software?

I am not entirely sure this is the right thing to be doing from an accounting perspective (if it’s not then please let me know).
When I am adding receipts to the system I would like to go beyond the standard list of expense categories offered by the system. For example I want to add a category for software development consultancy, source control etc. How do I do this?

Hi, So there are two answers to that. 
Personal Categories 
If you’re looking to just tag items like ‘Web Projects’, or ‘Business Trips’, then we don’t have that service live yet. 
Accounting Categories 
If you’re looking to tag items for your books, (which you can use for personal categories) but not usually. Then just do the following  How To Chart Of Accounts In BulletFree Online Accounting Software
