How do I amend or stop a recurring purchase transaction, i.e. the direct debit amount has changed this year.

As Pete has said, you can edit the recurring bill, and any changes you make to it will only affect bills generated after todays date.  If you wanted to change previous bills as well, you’d go to the money out page, edit the single bill in question which is the earliest one that you want changed.  When you are saving it, it will ask you if you want to change just that bill, or all future bills.  Select all future bills and that should be it.
