Tax benefits mean that I am going to form a company now. I was looking at the formations app and had two main questions for now:
1. Do I already have to have the company name registered or does it do it?
2. Does it comply with the new company regulations that came into effect on june 1st?

Don’t use our formations app – formations are done different now. We’ll be taking it offline, you can use http://bradyassociates.ie/ for your formation. But, I can answer your questions.
1. Do I already have to have the company name registered or does it do it?
So, there are a couple of things to note here where people get a little confused on. You can have a company name FRANK Ltd but trade under lots of names FRANKIES CLOTHES, or BANANA HATs whatever you want.
These are all under the one company, so one company accounts fees etc. Trading names might be talked about as separate companies “I’ve 2 clothing companies Frankies Clothes and Banana Hats”, although from a branding point of view they are different, technically they’re not.
When registering a company name it will be checked for similarity with other company names, and other rules like using the term Bank, Group etc. When the company is registered the company name gets registered too that is your limited name. As above you can also trade under lots of names.
2. Does it comply with the new company regulations that came into effect on june 1st?
