I've got a seasonal chocolate bar coming out in November. Health Stores will get 5 christmas bars with every €100 orders
  2. infomagic June 25, 2016
Great way to get the message out there that is non intrusive
  3. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
Great. That's the idea, help people upsell.
Did you find the process of setting it up easy, any things you didn't like or made you feel confused?
  4. infomagic June 25, 2016
I'll be looking into it later this evening..
  5. infomagic June 25, 2016
I'll come back to you with feedback when I have that done
  6. infomagic June 25, 2016
    how does that sound?
  7. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
Sounds great, we can continue on from here.
    Talk then.
  8. infomagic June 25, 2016
    Hi Pete. Are you online?
  9. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
Always , How can I help
  10. infomagic June 25, 2016
Lol... ok.. So I'm looking at the banner on the invoices
  11. infomagic June 25, 2016
The option I have is to change the banner...
  12. infomagic June 25, 2016
    which one in the banner?
  13. infomagic June 25, 2016
    is it abouve the logo?
  14. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
What one do you think it is?
  15. infomagic June 25, 2016
To me I think its going to change the logo and date... just my initial reaction because it is bound by two lines top and bottom
  16. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
Hmm. Well logos called logo and date is a date. So explain to me more as to why you think a banner is logo and date. Remember there is no right/wrong answer here
So what term would you use to describe it.
  17. infomagic June 25, 2016
yes.. Totally get where your coming from... however there is currently no banner uoploaded.. so what am I changing?
  18. infomagic June 25, 2016
If the option said upload banner... I would not have that queestion
  19. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
Shoot me a screen shot of the screen your on that gives you that option (no mention of banner)
  20. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
Ah. Was this your current template?
  21. infomagic June 25, 2016
I think Its a default one
  22. infomagic June 25, 2016
    standard template
  23. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
So you just put in your Twitter handle and it just pulled the logo
  24. infomagic June 25, 2016
No..I uploaded my logo months ago..
  25. infomagic June 25, 2016
I put in my twitter handle 5 mins ago
  26. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
And did it pull the banner (your big Twitter img)
  27. infomagic June 25, 2016
    nope
  28. infomagic June 25, 2016
but I never hit the button to pull logo
  29. infomagic June 25, 2016
sorry.. I never read the insructions on that..
  30. infomagic June 25, 2016
I didnt what my logo to change as I like it the way it is
  31. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
Ok. But say it pulled a diff logo from Twitter. How would you fix that
  32. infomagic June 25, 2016
Let me do it and see
  33. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
    Cool.
  34. infomagic June 25, 2016
Ok I see how it works now... I like it and I dont like it...
  35. infomagic June 25, 2016
Love the ability to do exactly that..
  36. infomagic June 25, 2016
However the image from twitter does not suit my invoice
  37. infomagic June 25, 2016
I had to re-upload my old logo
  38. infomagic June 25, 2016
the banner is too big. I what to make it WAY smaller
  39. infomagic June 25, 2016
I want to change the font now too
  40. infomagic June 25, 2016
    I know I'm being fussy..
  41. infomagic June 25, 2016
    but I'm just being honest
  42. infomagic June 25, 2016
I initially though I could create my own banner and upload it
  43. infomagic June 25, 2016
    like in photoshop or somehting
  44. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
Why do you think you can't upload your own banner.
  45. infomagic June 25, 2016
The size of the banner will gaurntee that my invoice is printed on 2 pages
  46. infomagic June 25, 2016
Because it seems to be a set size
  47. infomagic June 25, 2016
what are the dimensions I can upload?
  48. infomagic June 25, 2016
believe it or not that was my initial question... 'If i open photoshop.. what dimensions will i create the document?'
  49. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
Ok. So you can add remove logos and banners in 'Logo & Banner Options' link. Did you click that at all.
When you print the banner disappears just a standard invoice appears. You can see that if you click print.
We had the dimensions in not sure why they're gone.
    Size is 1500x500
  50. infomagic June 25, 2016
Ah ha... ok.. Yes I saw the option to remove banners etc.. Because I send out physical products I send my invoices with the chocolate. For me in my situation the ideal sceanario is a small thin banner at the top that does not push the invoice down too low...
  51. infomagic June 25, 2016
BTW I'm going to the post office in 5 mins.. whats your address. I'll send you some of my RAW organic choc
  52. infomagic June 25, 2016
BTW(2) Your account software is the best I've ever ome across.. I rant and rave about it in all networking meetings and courses I do...
  53. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
    Thanks man, really appreciate it.

So all the things you want to do are in the software. We've spent about 3mts building it and making it easy. Obviously not easy enough. The only think that we can't do is change the height of the banner. It's done on a ratio to keep the img looking now.
We'll have a big deep read into this. We've sent the site out for user testing. But real feedback is great.
  54. infomagic June 25, 2016
Ok cool.... I'll do a little deep playing with the software.. Finding the time is tricky as my orders have surpassed what i can produce so its 18 hours days for me!! Choc is the post!!!! BTW I'll test anything you want!! Love to see progress!!
  55. infomagic June 25, 2016
Oh.. What flavors are you into.. we have like normal stuff mint, orange etc.. but we have a few funky flavours like seaweed(amazing) coffee, raspberry
  56. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
Ha, cool. Hmm the idea of our software is to allow for play but you should get how to use it straight away. So you got the added value about adding a banner to upsell, but how to customise it you didn't
It's always a balance we start with a very bloated detailed version of the product and then we strip it down, we might have stripped too much here.
We use used the twitter images cause it allows you to get a feel for it straight away without having to find or edit image. Singup > add twitter handle > invoice instantly customised > onboard > edit later, kind of thing.
I'm a milk chocolate man but lets try the crazies. We'll tweet them out, when we get them.
  57. infomagic June 25, 2016
Sweet.. Ok.. off to the posty
  58. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
Cool. Thanks for all your feedback.
I've added the advanced invoice app and given you 120days credit. So you can create multiple templates for different deals. When your creating the invoices in advanced invoice options you can jump between invoices.
  59. infomagic June 25, 2016
    Hi Pete. Are you online?
  60. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
    Yep.
  61. infomagic June 25, 2016
Hi Pete.. Great. I've a question for you
  62. infomagic June 25, 2016
So we have had to add VAT onto 2 of our chocolate bars
  63. infomagic June 25, 2016
We have to rectify this before doing our vat returns
  64. infomagic June 25, 2016
Is there a way to do this without having to cancel the payment and redo the payment?
  65. infomagic June 25, 2016
Or can we run a report to see how many of these bars are sold ?
  66. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
Oh, that's all a bit messy. Either way (adding VAT on top of the price or including it into the price) you'll have to edit everything.
Either way you'll be changing the totals, total vat and total revenue.
There are no reports for such.
Give me the name of chocolate bar in question and I'll have a look at your accounts?
Are you adding the VAT to the price or just including it into the price as in will the item increase by x% or do you lose x%?
    Pete
  67. infomagic June 25, 2016
Yeah I figured as much. The two bars are Crazy caramel and raspberry rendezvous. We have to incorporate the VAT into the price so that it comes to €2.50
  68. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
So what price is it now?
  69. infomagic June 25, 2016
It is €2.50 with 0VAT. most of the chocolate falls into the same catagory as cooking chocolate. So we will absorb the hit so the price to the health store is the same
  70. infomagic June 25, 2016
Intercom is fair annoying on the iPad. It covers most of what you are typing
  71. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
Oh I see the keyboard jumps. That's actually a hard problem to fix. The browsers to protect the user don't allow you as a dev to control them. As a result you can't do much about it :)
We're moving to a new product (our own) soon, but you'll probably have the same issue.
So I had a look at your account's I don't think we'll be able to get a line item export. I'll ask johnny though and see if there is away through another report but I doubt it.
Before you start editing any of your invoices it's best to export all of them as a snapshot.
If there are a lot to do, you could outsource the work. We use a guy in India who's very good and reliable.
If you're incorporating the vat you don't need to reinvoice the client for new payment (vat) but you should be issuing them a vat receipt (up to you).

You can include VAT in invoice by clicking on the advanced drop down and we'll calc the vat backwards.
    Pete
  72. infomagic June 25, 2016
Great... Thanks for your help. We'll do as you suggest and just chip away editing invoices
  73. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
    Cool
  74. infomagic June 25, 2016
Hi Pete, Another question for you. Can we do input for our invoices that allows us to do point of a cent. It seems to round the cents to the nearest one. We would like to charge 23% vat on bars bringing the value of say 6 bars to 15 euro, but that means having a unit price of 2.0325 which gets rounded down to 2.03, resulting in a 6 item price of 14.98 not 15. can we do 4 decimal pints on the euro price? Darren
  75. Peter Connor June 25, 2016
Nope I'm afraid you can't. That's because revenue won't accept .cent so at some stage it needs to be rounded.
    Tks Pete
