Nope if you’re charging VAT to have to state what the VAT is, you’d be breaking the law then.
Invoice, Estimates etc are all legal documents, there’s a legal difference between an invoice and an estimate. We make sure you’re automatically filling in the right bits so you don’t break the law.

Hi Pete, I don't mean not to include it on invoices, just instead of having to click into "advanced invoice options" all the time and click "yet". 90% of my customers are not vat registered so so I quote them a price for a wedding all in.

    "yes"

Ah sorry so to make VAT included as a default. You can't set that up in the invoice setting as a default. Sorry about that most of our clients are B2B, but it's a good idea to get it included.
I'll add it to our road map.
    Thanks
    Pete

No worries. Even to make it a default per template as opposed to an overall setting.

I know we're always trying to balance features with simplicity. People love Bullet cause it's simple. The trick is knowing when to introduce complexity.
Most of the features you can add to the template but we could make it better.

Whit the new business, I am not sure exactly what I need... maybe I need a CRM for what I am doing. I am doing the Magic Mirror, a new type of photbooth hire.
    1. If could send an invoice for a booking deposit and then set a date for a reminder, or an automatically generated invoice for the balance. Or be able to set a total amount and set an amount for a deposit invoice to be sent out and the balance automatically sent out.
( having a future date set for balance invoices would mean you had data to make a graph for future sales / income)
    2. For Stripe payments / paypal, so automatically adjust invoices or generate bills for any fees.
Thats all I can think of for now. I have loads of stufff for CRM, but that is outside your scope.

Thanks. A friend of mine ran PhotoBooth - they sold it there a while ago.
    1. That's a good point and good idea. I can see how that's useful.
1.2 We're looking to make better reports. Reports are dependant on data entry, and SMB's are terrible at Data Entry, so the reports would be of no value.
    2. We already do that you can see in the bottom gif we mark the invoice as paid, and create the bill for you and do all the background accounting. Paypal isn't sending us that information at the moment so as you know paypal is investigating the issue.

I have just decided to turn off paypal for now anyway and keep thing easier.

Well Stripes winning the war with simpler support. But, it's only a matter of time before % fees die.
