Hi guys – are you having any issues today with the app? I’m logged in on the web but earlier when I tried to upload a receipt it gave me an error message something like ‘Alert – network error’, failed to upload, when was at 99%. Our WiFi is working perfectly and I even tried a second office network we have. I deleted and reinstalled the app, and now it’s saying it doesn’t recognise my password (which I assume is the same as my bullet p/w for the web). Any tips? Need to know ASAP if possible please as VAT return needs to be submitted this afternoon, I’ve everything ready to upload today.. thankks! David

First time this has happened - of course it's conceivable it's still a network issue here so I will go home now and try it there and failing that will do a manual upload for my accountnant and create the good old fashioned excel file!

Apple updated their security and we followed. The issues is with the make of the build we used. It’s not comparable with our security standards.

There is no quick fix its looking like a rebuilt. We'd planned a newer version app so we might roll the Dev time into that.

So the app won't work but you can use use the drives. I know it's a hassle but we're working on a better solution now.

Okey dokey - just a heads up would have been good to got a notification ahead of time (not biggy at all just a tip) as I wouldnt have left it to this afternoon as under pressure now. What's your suggestion about 'using the drives'? Can i get my receipts into bullet any other way or do I just have to separate out these receipts doing it manually (like pre-bullet!) and wait for the rebuild?
  4. Peter Connor May 8, 2016
We initially thought it was a bug last week. Apple had alerted people of security bugs. After investigating it seems a rebuild is the only option. So sorry about that Monday was when we found out. We'll make a call at today's weekly meeting.
So the work around is to install Dropbox on you phone and add the Dropbox app in Bullet. Then you'll be able to add your receipts.
We'll have an official update on Thursday with a road map.

ok thanks - i have dropbox on the phone - how do "add the dropbox app in bullet" and how do I upload receipts from there?
  6. david6 May 8, 2016
no worries totally appreciate it you must be tearing your hair out!
  7. Peter Connor May 8, 2016
Just login and click the App Store at the bottom left. Follow the instructions everything is there.
    Thanks. Pete

ok I'm in dropbox on the phone - how do I do it from here? - i don't see "App Store' on the bottom left
  9. Peter Connor May 8, 2016
Log into Bullet, App Store in Bullet. You've to connect Bullet to your Dropbox.
  10. david6 May 8, 2016
Bullet app isn't recongising my password now since I re-installed, (it's defeinitely being corretly inputted as I'm using the one that logged me in online to the web app). I will just so with creating a excel file and receipts now I think, thanks for the efforts anyhow, under too much pressure to figure out workaround now. Best. David
  11. Peter Connor May 8, 2016
Ok David if that works best for you. We don't control the U/P with Dropbox that's all managed by dropbox, so it must be an issue with your U/P. Maybe check it by logging on to the web dropbox.
Thanks again sorry for the hassle. App v2 will be a lot better.
    Pete

It's Bullet that I can't login to on the app on the iphone.. not Dropbox, I'm logged in to Dropbox on the iphone..
  13. david6 May 8, 2016
oh I see you want me to access App Store on Bullet on the web not the app
  14. david6 May 8, 2016
no need to reply Pete I'm just going to proceed with excel file and receipts scanned to PDF and will come back to this when you've re-released.
  15. Peter Connor May 8, 2016
    Cool.
Just a tip. It's easier to bring them into a product if they're in jpeg/png. So your best thing to do would be just to photograph them with your phone. You can save them to dropbox there.
    Pete

    You can do the following.
Connect Bullet to you Dropbox or Google Drive.
Create an account with Dropbox/Google Drive
    Login to Bullet
Click on the App Store (at the bottom left)
Add which every service you prefer (dropbox/google)
Bullet will ask for you login details, once added you've now connected Bullet to a drive.
Add a Bill as normal and just click "Attach Files", and browse to your file.

I create a gif for you here.
    Hope that helps.

    Thanks P

    Hi Pete
Just wondering if you have a timeline on the fix for the app upload for invoices?
    Cheers!
    David
  18. Peter Connor May 8, 2016
    Hi David,
We're working on it at present - we're currently evaluating a few different options. In the meantime, you should attach the receipt images using your dropbox/google drive account.
    John.
  19. david6 May 8, 2016
    Hi John,
Thanks for the reply. I’m not going to be using dropbox or google drive. It’s the app or nothing for me, going back to Pete’s described method isn’t a runner, creating more work for me.
Any ideas on timelines? I’m already 2 months of invoices out of sync.
  20. Peter Connor May 8, 2016
No definite timelines yet David, but we'd expect our new app (which will include receipt upload) to be available in the iphone and android app stores with 1-2 months.
In the meantime, you could always enter the expenses and keep the receipts. You could write a reference number on the receipts and enter that as the reference number when creating the bill - making it easier to track in the future.

OK thanks for the reply John and best of luck with the app development and keep us posted when it’s live so I can hop back on it!
