How to record cash payments – Free Online Small Business Accounting Software Questions & Answers

Hi I run a motorbike repair garage and am a bit unsure how to apply this software to my business.I am paid in cash and give customer numbered receipt, there is generally no invoices involved. At the minute I just use an excel sheet with three columns for money in – receipt no, date and euro. What would be the best way to record this using bullet? Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.

Hi Edward,
You can still use Invoices to record the payments you receive. When you’re creating the Invoice, you can set the “Has it been paid for” dropdown to true – this will mark the invoice as paid immediately, and better reflects the fact you’re getting paid straight away in cash.
