record overpayment in bank account

record overpayment in bank account – Free Online Small Business Accounting Software Questions & Answers

Trying to record  a pre payment into bank account. Have set up a credit note and a 1 cent invoice. System will not allow amount to be logged in bank account as its over the invoice value, any work around?

    Hi,

    Can you give me some context around what you're trying to do.

    - You can a prepayment by just creating an invoice and marketing an amount paid against it.
    - Credit notes are just used when an invoice has been issued and either canceled or a lower total amount paid.
