The return when you downloaded it.

it won't open, my computer gives an error stating the file cannot be opened as there is available data to view
  3. robbiefrank2 August 14, 2016
    no available data to view

Sure. So when you open it you convert the file and then ROS won't read it.
So download a fresh copy of the file and simply upload it straight into ROS.
It will work fine then. Let me know.

Cool. But are you opening the file before uploading it.
  7. robbiefrank2 August 14, 2016
no, never had to open the file before uploading in the past, regardless, the file won't open anyway
  8. Peter Connor August 14, 2016
Sorry. No you don't open the file, your right.
I'm asking if you opened the file. Or did you just download it and upload it to ROS?

i just download it and upload to dos as i usually do but no luck

    i can file my return manually, however just to be sure, on the dos website, the fields are as follows;

PAYE, PRSI, USC, LPT however there is a further breakdown in the tax due from your website interns of prsi, employer and employee, am i right in thinking i just add these to give a total in order to provide an accurate return.

Cool. Well check that out. It will be Monday before the payroll team are back to you. I'll keep an eye on the call.
    Thanks. Pete.

    Hi Robbie,
I've passed this over to payroll.

    Hi Robbie,
There is a negative amount in the P30 for PAYE (meaning a refund is due based on gaps in wages or changes in tax details). ROS will not allow a file upload where there is a negative amount. P30 must be entered directly in ROS when there is a negative PRSI, PAYE or USC total. If you go to the taxes screen, click on the P30 in question, it will show you the figures for PAYE, PRSI and USC. You need to enter these details manually into ROS.
    John.
